You know what. Lemme share my opinions on Malevolent shippers. Not the ships themselves. The people.

Starting off strong, Dollins shippers are somehow the nicest and coziest people out there. You guys sometimes come up with the craziest stuff but. You know the perfect balance between treating these characters and their traumas seriously AND writing them like an old classic Tom-and-Jerry-like cartoon. They are goofy and cute and smell like home. One's a killer for hire and the other is a tortured-by-eldrich-beings detective and you manage to make it into a romcom. I have nothing but respect for Dollins shippers. You are so good to your characters. Like an opposite of Kayne. You smell of fresh pie.

Parkthur shippers are like... the adults of the fandom? I'm not sure how to put it. Yall are mature. You explore parkthur to hell and back. The way you write their relationship is always full comradery and love in its purest form. Not traumabonded like Noel and Arthur, not dependant like blind faith, not brought together by trials like jarthur, but not quite as domestic as dollins. Parkthur is always very real and very human. I'm honestly a big fan of parkthur myself. Arthur's backstory was always the more interesting part of the lore for me (breaking my silence I've always loved Arthur more than John and it'll remain so). So you guys. You guys are the big siblings of the fandom.

Arthur and Noel shippers... I've honestly only seen it done as Arthur x Noel x John. And I love that. You guys hold so much love for Noel it almost makes me tear up. The way you write your stuff feels more of a Noel's good ending then jarthur's. And it's not a complaint in the slightest. You take jarthur and you fit Noel in so well and smooth he actually fixes them. You make Noel jarthur's home and family, and you make them his anchors. You guys are full of hope. When it comes to John x Noel (Arthur is there third wheeling or smth)... You guys are like dollins shippers witht their comfy domestic vibes, but you have an additional sprinkle of... healing. You love your John and Noel and treat them so so well, but it's less of a silly cartoony thing (like dollins) and more of a... story of rediscovery and, again, healing. You have a domestic vibe of a comfort book. Also you create the most insane things when you're horny /very pos.

Blind faith aka Arthur and Oscar shippers. Guys are you okay. It's a banger ship but guys. Guys how are we feeling. Have you tasted anything but tears in the last... forever? You create the most touching and soul crushing pieces of fan-creations but it takes you all your happiness to do so. You embrace the sad the same way Arkayne-ists embrace the horny. Even when you make them happy they're still engulfed in an aura of melancholy. You can write them in a good ending au and it still tastes bitter. And I don't mean it as a bad thing. You guys write Oscar and Arthur like they're doomed Sea and Moon yuri and I fuck with it. So hard. Yall are insanely talented. But also insanely sad. Do you guys want a cookie.

Arkayne. I'm convinced that all Arkayne shippers are actually Kayne's alternative accounts. Yall are ruthless but in the best way possible. Going through Malevolent you either defaultly ship jarthur or arkayne and I have nothing but awe for those whose heart calls for arkayne. I love your fics, guys. Having them in my browser history is incriminating but god. You really look at everyone else and cackle maniacally because you can do anything. Yall can go as crazy as humanly possible and that would still be Kayne. I love arkayne shippers because yall are genuinely so so fun. Yall are the type of people wh didn't drown their sims in pools. Because it was old and boring. Your ghosts were all colors of the rainbow because yall went overboard with your stuff. Honestly same.

Larson and Yellow shippers are quiet and almost unnoticeable but they make the most jaw-dropping gut-wrenching fanfiction known to man. They take Yellow and sink their teeth into him ruthlessly. Where John fans dissect him with care and patience, Yellow enjoyers tear him apart and drag the raw still-beating heart out of him. Whereas other shippers make stuff with hope, your works are embraced in a stench of doom. And it's sweet but in a way rotten flesh is sweet. You take Larson and Yellow and ask the question, can they see salvation and become better together? Then you make them try through blood and sweat and tears and tell them NO. And it leaves them both in agony. And it leaves me in agony. "Raw" is really the best word that comes to mind to describe you. I love you but please stop hurting me.

Larthur idk never saw anyone ship it but if someone does delete your account lmao. Freaks.

There is like a dozen more ships you can make but I've only yapped about the most prominent ones. Will make a part two if there's stuff I genuinely forgot or can yap about. It's 4 am please don't be hard on me if I missed something ultra obvious. It'll come to me.

And jarthur shippers. You think I forgot that don't you. I didn't. It's a fully conscious decision.

arthur got SO lucky with telling noel about john. possibly one of the only benign people to also know about the dreamlands (and to have also lived through it) just so happens to have been there when arthur got so pissed at john that he needed to tell the closest person.

what's divine punishment's dynamic? (sorry, new here. I saw the banger ship name, noel, kayne, and ran here as fast as i could)

DONT YOU DARE APOLOGISE ANON YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY!!!! Teehee time to talk about my favourite guys ever. Divine punishment is my favourite dynamic/ship so ive gone a little bit over the top explaining it because it comes from so many places in my brain (i am also a chronic yapper).

Firstly, my version involves the two of them vaguely interacting in Eygpt. Its not exactly meeting per say but Kayne is hanging around the excavation site for both the black and grey stones and is aware that Charlie is the one to steal the stone. This is inspired/stolen from The Man in the Mirror which is @grayscale-sparks’s wonderful Noel backstory fic that i yap about a lot.

Kayne then fucks off to go kill every other version of himself and Charlie is taken by the King causing Kayne to lose track of the vaguely interesting mortal who stole the stone. Until at some point during Charlies time in the prison pits Kayne finds him and strikes a deal, hes the one who alerts the Cana to get Charlie out.

Charlie makes his way out of the dreamlands by himself but Kaynes still rather interested in him. He managed to get the stone, survive The King and the Dreamlands after being in the prison pits, now thats just fascinating. So instead of having to re-build his life on his own Kayne starts appearing in Charlies life, at first Charlie does not appreciate this but over time Kayne ends up becoming the only stable thing in his life (which is saying something). Kayne is the only person Charlie really has to talk to who would understand what the fuck hes been through and Charlie is interesting to Kayne (and maybe theres a little bit more than just normal interest there). Charlie also feels indebted to Kayne since he was the one to get him out of the prison pits. The reason im using Charlie here is because he specifically asked Kayne to keep calling him his old name as a way of trying to continue separating Noel and the Eldritch parts of his life.

Its during the two year period after Noel escapes the dreamlands before Malevolent that they become property interesting and dynamicy it is not at all healthy however.

Also @absoluteocellibehavior suggested the idea that Kayne could use Noel as a backup option for sending to get the blackstone since he has similar criteria to Arthur: has been in the same room as grey stone, was a pi, has a good knowledge of the eldritch, ect. He just doesnt use him since Arthur is his favourite, but should Arthur fail he is keeping Charlie in reserve to go after the blackstone for him.

(This can also feed into an idea of divine punishment without the time from after the king-before malevolent of just the two of them ending up together after part 40 while Kayne is bored and cant see Arthur in the 13th century)

To sum up: Charlie feels indebted to Kayne. He also views him as the only stable part of his life and at time acts as a reminder that he isnt insane and the King did happen. Kayne thinks Charlies interesting (but not to the point of obsession the same way he is with Arthur) and is keeping him as an option should Arthur fail. They are also fond of one another in deeply fucked up ways (i love it when Noel has the chance to be slightly scary and Kayne gives it).

A GLIMPSE INTO THE LIFE OF NOA FAMILY – noel noa

a little glimpse into the nao family. wherein you get to see a few of their daily antics.

It’s evident in the eyes of your son that he is quite not fond of his father’s affections for you. The three-year-old cannot for the fact digest that his mother is loved by his ugly father – it is his view of his dear dad. Aimé is quite literally the biggest hater of his dad. The best striker in the world – Noel Noa.

Noel kisses your cheek? Aimé is probably out and about to find tissues, dip them in sanitiser and run off to you to clean it. Noel has his head in your lap? Aimé is on his way to plop himself in that very special place. The young boy tries his all to throw his father of the edge, but the older man doesn’t budge, he seems to always shrug it off, finding a better place to hold you close and not bat an eye to his son’s intentions.

It only makes Aimé adamant on doing much more to gain your attention away from his father, and that he gets when he slides into your shared bed. Yes, that’s right. Aimé Noa slides right in the middle of the bed between Noel and you with the shit eating grin on his face, and that is the only time he irks the father of his. The veins protruding from his neck are visible but you seem to not notice that because you are too focused on your little son.

That’s right, stay focused on sweet little, Aimé.

“I’ll sleep with you and papa tonight!” The three-year-old cheers, a cheeky smile on his face. You being a mother take the ruse, for in your eyes he is but a little angel, and oh, how you love your sweet innocent angel. But that words to the opposite to Noel. They do not set well with him, nuh-uh, he ain’t letting his son get in the time he has with his wife – no, not at all.

Noel is smart. He knows of the glint in his son’s eyes, it was pretty much evident with the way he always washes you in sanitiser whenever Noel’s hands or lips land on you. It makes him annoyed to no end, but he indulges in his son’s antics, not minding much because he gets you to himself, all at night. That’s fine with him, he gets you at night so his son could get you in the day.

But oh, oh, oh, such a wolf he is in sheep’s clothing. He has started to become the bane of Noel’s existence. It feels as if his wife is not his anymore but belongs to his son. He knows you love him and Aimé the same, but that look Aimé is giving to Noel in the moment, makes Noel boil with annoyance and jealousy. Because at times he doesn’t like sharing his wife.

So when the lights are out, the young lad stuck in the middle of you and your husband. Your husband gets the most amazing ideas of all times, when he hears the little twat snoring to his comfort, Noel picks the boy up gently, and places him right at the corner of the bed – not too to the side for the boy to fall, he is loving father after all – and shifting in the middle to hold you in his arms.

Ah, such satisfaction his heart gets as he finally pulls you close. A blissful smile sets upon Noel’s lips as he feels you nuzzle in his clothes, as he himself wraps you in his arms, as he himself snuggles with you and falls into a deep slumber, not caring of what the morning brings for him.

And when the sun rises from the east, it also awaken the little boy too quick as well. Aimé rubbing the sleep away as he sits straight in bed expecting to jump into his mother’s arms, but what he sees is his father’s giant back and nothing else. Uh-oh, looks like Amié is down one point now and like father like son, he is not going to accept defeat so easily.

So, he does what he does best, he jumps with all his might on the both of you, jerking you out of your sleeping states, as you scream in shock while you husband wakes up frazzled, and for you son to be laughing to his heart’s content. It’s quite the sight for you, when you see your husband push him deeper into the quilts and tickle the boy to no end as he laughs and laughs and laughs.

You like it. The sight feels warm for Noel is out and about most of the times. But the times he spends with you like these become deeper and well cherished memories. You are well aware of the little war going on between these two, but you don’t mind, for it gives you moments like these to wake up too.

Your son’s loud laughter bounces of the walls while Noel speaks to him in french of how hurt you could have been, without stopping his tickle attack on his son. It’s funny. So, you laugh at the view set before you, and as you do, it’s your turn to be tickled by the two. They share the same brain cell at times, for Aimé is just like Noel, there is not the slightest difference between the two.

It’s fun. It’s family. So you cherish what you have been blessed with.

This is but a little glimpse in the daily life of the Noas. They are but together. They are unique in quite the amusing ways and well that is who they are.

noel is a bit ooc i think 😭 but i feel like he is a super good dad 🗣️
